Breaking Free From Yesterday’s Fear – Thought For The Week

Keith shares his thought for the week; breaking free from yesterday’s fear.

I love wildlife and used to live in Africa. On safari’s I was always on the look out for Rhino. I once saw a documentary about how they were attempting to repopulate areas. They moved a rhino to a safer place. For a time it stayed within a large enclosure so it could get used to the nosies and smells of the new surroundings.

When they opened the gate – meaning it was free – the rhino did not move. It took ten days before it left the enclosure. It needed to live in its freedom but it was stuck in the past.

Galatians 5:1 says:

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Galations 5:1

Easter Monday reminds us that the resurrection isn’t just something we celebrate—it’s a new reality in which we live. The tomb is still empty. The stone is still rolled away. Because Jesus lives, you don’t have to stay stuck in yesterday’s fear, failure, or pain. Today is a new beginning.

Whatever feels “dead” in your life—hope, joy, purpose—God has the power to bring it back to life. The resurrection means your story isn’t over. It’s just getting started. Walk today in resurrection confidence. Speak life over your situation. Remember: victory is already yours in Christ

Have a great week!
