Milly shares her thought for the week; Daddy God’s Heart.
I so love the fact that in the Garden of Eden, Daddy God went on walks with Adam and Eve in the cool of the evening. And then after he rescued the Israelites from Egypt, we see that he instructed them to position the tabernacle right there in the centre of their camp. His desire in both cases was to be in a relationship with them. He wanted to be in the centre of their lives. He wanted them to love and worship him, to look to him, to depend on him and him alone. And as they did, he led them, guided and protected them and fought their battles.
And he hasn’t changed. Daddy God’s heart for you is to be:
- Jehovah Rafa, your healer.
- Jehovah Rohi, your shepherd.
- Jehovah Nissi, your banner.
- Jehovah Sali, your rock.
- Jehovah Metsudhathi, your fortress.
- Jehovah-Magen, your shield.
- Jehovah Chereb, your sword.
- Jehovah Mephalti, your deliverer.
- Jehovah Uzi, your strength.
- Jehovah Gibbor, Melchama, the Lord, mighty in battle.
And so as we’re make him the centre of our lives, may the revelation that he is indeed all that he says he is, that he is Jehovah El Shaddai, that he is more than enough, may that revelation penetrate deeper into our hearts. And may this then free us to keep our eyes focused on his son, King Jesus, to abide in him, to become more and more like him, as we journey with him through 2026.
