Kevin shares his thought for the week; who knows?
This past month, at part of one of our Bible studies in the young adult sessions, we studied a major incident in the life of Esther.
We know Esther is a Jewish girl who becomes queen to the king. The Jews face a challenge where they are on the verge of being wiped out. In that moment, Esther’s uncle Mordecai approaches Esther and asks for her help.
We see that Esther is thrown into this challenge. She faces a situation where she either has to take a step and speak up for her people, or she could potentially die as a consequence.
As part of that encounter, we see Mordecai ask Esther a very important question. In Esther chapter 4, verse 14, he says:
And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
Esther 4:14
We come to a point in life, many times, where we are facing different situations and we keep wondering, “Why am I where I am?”
Well, my question to you is:
- Who knows whether you have not come to this situation for such a time as this?
- Who knows whether you have met a particular person for such a time as this?
- Who knows whether you were thrown into a particular challenge for such a time as this?
- What is your purpose in the current situation that you are facing, in this current season of your life?
We see that when Esther was facing a challenge, she found her purpose. What is your purpose when you are facing the current challenge?
Ask God. Ask the Holy Spirit, so that He may reveal His plans to you. And I just pray that He will guide your steps.
Have a wonderful week.
