Eden shares his thought for the week; let go and let God.

My Thought for the Week this week is about fully trusting in God and letting go of our own thoughts and desires and just fully trusting in Him and what that means for us as Christians.

I often have this discussion with people that aren’t Christians that say, “I don’t understand how you can just trust God, you can just let Him dictate what you do in your life and I don’t feel like I’m good enough to be a Christian” and all these kind of things. I always try and tell them that it’s really important to just fully trust in God and let go of what you think is the right thing, of what you think is best for you because we’re all human, we’re all sinners to some degree and the Lord’s perfect use is perfect and we need to trust in what He has for us.

I always try and frame prayer in a mindset of being thankful to God and also trying to say, “If it’s His will, if it’s His plan, then it comes to fruition.” So that’s what it’s something that I try and when I speak to colleagues at work about Jesus, when I speak to people on the street or people that I know outside of church, I always try and tell them that it’s possible, it doesn’t mean you’ll have an easy life, but it’s always worth trusting in God and trying to just let go of that level of control that I think everyone probably wants to have in their life. But knowing that we have a God and a Father who can take that burden away from us is so encouraging.

I just wanted to encourage everyone watching this today, whatever your struggles are, whatever your burdens are, whatever your worries are, anxieties, anything that’s going on in your life, whether that’s work related, relationship wise, any other personal things, any worries for the future that God’s got you as long as you fully trust in Him. And the scripture I wanted to read today was actually my favourite verse, it’s Jeremiah 29 verse 13. It says,

You will seek me and you will find me when you seek me with your whole heart.

Jeremiah 29:13

So I just pray for everyone watching this today that you’ll know what it means to fully trust in God and fully just give your all for Jesus.

I pray for the person watching or reading this today, Lord, I just pray that they’re having the best week possible. Lord, I pray for the week ahead that it will be fantastic, Lord, in every opportunity this week coming for the person watching, that they’ll be able to just fully let go of their own desires, their own wants for their life, Lord, and just trust in what you have for them. Lord, I just pray that, yeah, Lord, that you’ll show up in that person’s life and you will really make a difference this week. I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
