Saji shares his thought for the week; in the beginning God.
The Bible starts with the words “in the beginning, God.” In the Gospel of John, we read, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.” We know this is about Jesus Christ.
At the beginning of this week, is God with us? At the beginning of our day, at the beginning of our work, at the beginning of our business, at the beginning of our ministry, at the beginning of the church, at the beginning of our everything, is God with us? Is Jesus with us? Is the Word of God with us?
If God is in our beginnings, we can be confident that God will take it through and complete it. Why I am saying so because the Word of God promises us that being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Our Lord is the beginning and the end.
If God is in the beginning, He is the God who will declare the end from the beginning. And His counsel shall stand.
So, no weapons formed against our beginnings will prosper because God is there in our beginnings.
We might have begun with God, but things might not have gone well. When the enemy brings doubts in us, and try to take our confidence, we can hold on to the Word of God as it states in Hebrews 3 that
we are made partakers of Christ, and we will hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.
Hebrews 3:14
I will hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Hebrews 3:6
If God was not in our beginnings and is not now with us, we can ask God’s forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ and invite Him into our situations. He will surely come in. He is a gracious and merciful God. He is the God of restoration. He restored David, Jonah, Peter and many others. He will restore us.
God says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, not evil, to give you an expected end.
Our God will give us a Godly expected end to our beginnings.
Let God and His Word be in our beginnings so that everything we begin will have a Godly expected end.
May God bless.
