Elim’s National Leadership Team are calling the Elim movement to prayer with a special Day of Prayer on Good Friday 10 April.
This is a time for all of us to engage in prayer as part of our everyday lives in following Jesus. We need to be a praying people. As Paul writes in Ephesians 6 we are in a battle and we recognise that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood” but that we are urged to “pray at all times in the spirit, with all prayer and supplication.” (Ephesians 6:12, 18)
Over the Easter weekend, as we come to Him from the perspective of God’s amazing love for us, of Jesus’ death and resurrection and the promise of the Spirit’s presence and power, we believe that God will move mightily in our current situation according to His Word and His promises. Let our faith in the Risen Christ and His relentless love and passion for people drive and energise our prayers.
To help engage the Elim movement in united prayer, they will be using Facebook Live at four times during the day on the Elim Pentecostal Facebook Page. Each session will last for about 15 minutes, focused on the themes of unity, community, healing, deliverance and turning to the Lord. These are scheduled for 9am, 3pm and 6pm.
