Aspire Ladies Social

Ladies – join us for our next social evening with Rachel Hickson and Helen Azer. The theme of the evening is Fearless, Rachel and Helen will be speaking on “living in the midst of the storms”.

Tickets cost £6.50 (which includes dinner) and are available online using the form below and from reception.

Rachel has been married to her husband Gordon for over 40 years and has 2 children and 6 grandchildren. Rachel grew up in India and then married Gordon and together they have lived in many different nations. Rachel and Gordon travel internationally, training leaders, speaking at conferences, strengthening the Church and love the diversity of our different cultures. Rachel is the author of 11 books, writing on prayer, the prophetic gift, and devotional guides. Rachel and Gordon carry a passion for seeing God touch the lives of people with His power and love. Rachel should have died after a terrible road accident in Africa in 1984 but was miraculously healed. So together they now love to watch treasures hidden in dark places find life and get restored.

Helen was born in England but grew up in Egypt where she lived for the first sixteen years of her life. She is half English and half Egyptian. Helen went to a German school in Cairo so from her early years developed a passion for other nations, cultures and languages. She returned to the UK with her family in 1994 to finish her schooling and went on to study History and German at Christ Church College, Oxford. While in Germany studying the history of the Reformation, Helen felt God’s call to full-time Christian ministry. She trained at Wycliffe Hall theological college, Oxford, and was ordained as a minister in the Church of England in 2004. She completed the practical side of her training on staff at St Aldates Church, Oxford, in 2007. Helen joined Heartcry Ministries in 2007 and is now a Director of the ministry and also volunteers her time at St Andrews Church in Cumnor, Oxford.
