Our Food Collection team collect food on a Monday evening in preparation for Warm Welcome which runs on a Tuesday. We distribute food that supermarkets no longer want.
The role will require you to:
- Have phone on for an alert to collect food when its your turn.
- Have a car available for collection.
- Bring food to church from supermarket.
- Put frozen goods into the chest freezer (leaving these out means we have to throw them away the next day).
- Put chilled goods into the fridge (leaving these out means we have to throw them away the next day).
- Check fridge and freezer temperature and record this on the data sheet.
What we are looking for:
- Driving licence and car.
- Common sense.
- Diligence with chilled and frozen products.
Responsible to the Senior Pastor.
