Saji shares his thought for the week; fear not, God is with you.

Nowadays, many people live in fear. Fear of failure. Fear of the future. Fear of rejection. Fear of sickness. Fear of death. Fear sometimes grips our hearts, clouds our thoughts, and steals our peace. Proverbs 29:25 says:

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

But when we hold on to the Word of God, fear begins to lose its grip. Isaiah 41:10 says:

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

This is not just comfort; this is God’s promise to us. God is saying: “I am with you in your failures”, “I am with you in your troubles”, “I will help you”, “I will strengthen you”, “I will uphold you”.

So then, why should we be afraid? Let us boldly declare, as Hebrews 13:6 says:

“The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

When Israel stood before the Red Sea, God said: “Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord.”

When Jairus feared for his daughter, Jesus said: “Fear not, believe only. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

So, today, let us say it again: Yes, Lord; I believe. You are with me. You are my strength. You are my helper. And I will not live in fear anymore.

Fear not. God is with you. Always. May God bless.
