I always find it humbling that as we partner with Daddy God, He chooses to reveal his heart for others to us in a variety of ways, including through words of knowledge.
Sometimes before I go out, I ask Daddy God to reveal to me anyone in particular he wants me to minister to. He might give me a name, the clothing they’re wearing, an illness, tattoos on their bodies, or some other detail, all of which I write down in a notebook. If I do see that person in town, in a supermarket, or elsewhere, this gives me the opportunity to approach them, show them the notebook, and tell them that Daddy God sees them, he knows what they’re going through, he loves them so much that he sent me to find them, and guide them, and bring hope. Invariably that person needed to hear that, and this leads to tears, and sometimes I’ve had the privilege of leading them to Christ.
A few weeks ago, I was on a missions trip to Brazil with Randy Clark and Global Awakening. At our healing services each night, Randy would ask us, his 120-strong ministry team, to each give a word of knowledge from God for healing. The levels of expectation of the 3,000 or so people would rise exponentially. As we prayed for them individually, we saw tumors disappear, mobility is told, scoliosis healed, the blind see, etc. Glory to God.
Jesus was awesome at part knowing with his father. He said in John 5.19,
I only do what I see my father do.
John 5:19
And when he spoke words of knowledge to the Samaritan woman, she was so impacted by this encounter, she became an evangelist, and her entire city came to Jesus as a result. Our Daddy God has such a desire to reveal his glory, that is his nature, his unconditional love, his goodness, his grace, his mercy to this broken world through us.
May we partner with him in whatever way to make his glory known. Amen.
